The P2X Powerline Home Gym has thus far remained a relatively undiscovered gem that is available in Body Solid's product line up. The reasons for its obscurity are debatable (as is everything) but this reviewer believes that the lack of publicity that the P2X Home Gym has received is unjustified.
Unlike many other home gyms that are in the under $1000 price range the Powerline P2X Home Gym permits use of cables to exercise your stabilizer muscle groups and build strength and definition. The cable system on the P2X Home Gym allows you to combine the benefits of a free weight workout with the safety and comfort of using a home gym that features a self spotting mechanism. This is a boon for upper body development because converging press and pectoral fly exercises are usually not an option with the typical selectorized home gym. You will have a choice of using the traditional bench press and incline press and/or switching over to thoroughly blast your pectoral and tricep muscles with stabilizer exercises.
Another feature on the Powerline P2X Home Gym is the option of adding the PLPX Leg Press Attachment. The leg press is essential for leg press development and not all of the more popular home gyms in the under $1000 category give the home gym enthusiast this important option. For example: the BFMG20 Best Fitness Home Gym and the Body Solid EXM1500S Home Gym have no leg press attachment option. The addition of the PLPX Leg attachment will cost you a few dollars extra but it is a small price to pay when you consider that the P2X Home Gym Equipment will last you a lifetime with proper use and care. In addition, since the leg press works both the hamstring and quadriceps you can forgo the leg curl and leg extension exercise if you are pressed for time. Plus, don't forget the added benefit of being able to work your calf muscles with the leg press attachment!
An additional perk includes the adjustable back and seat pad to get your self into an ergonomically correct and comfortable workout position. One size does not need to fit all here, simply pull and reinsert the selector pin to move into correct posture and workout position that is right for you.
Last but not least, the P2X Home Gym Equipment permits you to add on an additional 50lb weight stack (SP50) bringing the total weight load potential to 210 lbs. This increases exercise versatility because your home gym will now facilitate both the beginner and the more advanced home gym user. Stay with lower weights to max out on reps or stack it on to increase your one rep max! It is all possible with the Powerline P2X Home Gym.
So when you are shopping around for your home gym don't forget to look beyond the hype and make sure you get the best bang for your buck. The P2X is the most economical option available for the amount of exercise options that it contains. Don't overpay when you can get it all for less here at Home Fitness Plus.
